August 23, 2007 - After almost two years of deprived of Verge updates, the problem has been resolved today with a new version with an enormous amount of changes, as well new features.
According to Overkill at the offical Verge site:
"The new build has a bunch of nifty features that you'll
likely enjoy. There are a ton of highlights. Fixing the annoying FreeImage()
memory leak! Improved compiler errors, nested structs, and multidimensional
arrays of structs! Gradient drawing routines! HSV color functions! New string
and token functions! A way to make varargs functions! Lua as an alternative
scripting language! Audiere as an alternative sound engine! A more complete
sprite system! It couldn't all be crammed in here, so check out the huge
changelog for the full details."
Currently, the team is putting priority on the documentation and a Mac release should also be out soon.
